Hey guys. Where have others connected their rev counter/shift lights, connected mine up and the revs show nowhere near what the standard one shows?

Got on the coil wire and showing about 1000 to 1300 rpm lower that standard one, also pics up revs slower, and doesnt look like it can be calibrated. Is the Autogauge one. Thanks though.

Feelin like a right idiot with this thing already. Ok, I connected to the circled wire. Still doesnt seem to be correct, or am I? Took the gauge off again, doesnt look like it can be calibrated, only has a switch on the back to switch between ammount of cylinders. Or am I missing something? Thanx guys.

If you have a multi meter, check if that middle wire in the top coil plug is the IG- wire. There is an IG- terminal on the diagnostics plug.

If it is, thats the one you want to connect to.

Its also connected to the instrument cluster.

Thanks. Had it connected to the sender wire behind the cluster as well. have been told to connect it to a cable coming directly from the ecu, have a diagram for it. others then as you say connect it at the coil.
