sad to see this forum coming to a halt.

i think having a mobile version of this site available is a step in the right direction guys. i generally use my lap top to checkk forums/mails/pm's...but majority of users nowadays are on their smart phones and they use it for everything....wouldn't hurt at all lads.

mobile option sounds good to me. allthough i usually check the forums on my laptop at home or office.
but making it easier to use on mobiles and tablets would benefit a lot of users i guess

Old Skool.
Still hovering around.

FizTurbo.

May be old but still live! n kicking..., I think I mean the car .

Still got my revamped mk1 GT since 2001 and also flyin around in another daily ish tweaked mk1 GT, luv um both

Keep the starlet family goin.

Like mentioned above we're getting older and older -) I have a son now!
As of the mobile version, I don't know what's the fuss about but the current version works fine on my 6 year old Blackberry torch as well as Samsung S3, also I prefer a desktop PC due to the decent size screen...

This would have to be a move that doesn't affect how you guys use the site via a desktop or laptop.

im sure jay and dylan will appreciate that and implement changes accordingly. Other forums for example simply have a button at the bottom like our theme button to go from desktop site to mobile site.

I think thats it in a nutshell - majority of folk use smartphones and mobiles sites.

we obviously would want to cater for existing (young and old) and the potential new members :)

a revamp would give us old freaks abit of new life too :)

Like Sacha when was your build thread last updated :) and when your next mag cover??? i still have your car in japanese performance mag haha

I think Phil is right.

I however cant get on with touch screen things like tablets and i love using my desktop pc but i cant take that to work and carry it round with me unfortunately. i recently got a new phone a galaxy s5. it sat on my desk for a month before i even used it. i do like how things just work on it like sharing photos with people ect. I think im just suck in my super nintendo days of wired controllers and crt monitors.

It seems mobile format is coming for example The F1 site http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/ and BBC news have recently gone this way.
On my large format desktop the F1 site is so boring now I have an alternate site. Basically it is so zoomed in it has little overview on my screen which means entering the site is annoying as most colourful bits are the old bits you have already seen and you have to go to the next level to see whats new and then it wont be the right size. Also a cookies placard blocks a third of the viewing area over what you are trying to read as it is sized big for the phone screen .

The BBC seems to use the centre part of the screen like looking the top of a mobile the setout has designed the first view to be interesting with some choice. It works better as there is only one place to go ...that is scroll down and continue reading the the story you have already chosen from the browser headlines menu. I think with the talent we have it will turn out ok but would be good if it worked on small and larger format or we will end up in the middle size and have to use the old persons iphone ie. ipad :)

@Phil ...

well my build thread was updated the last time the car came out to race...i think end of last year...problem is that thread gets updated only when the car comes out....the car is not legal on the road anymore...has a tube nose,no head lamps and dog box (pain in the ass for road use haha)...and drag races in sri lankan are few and far between...so car only comes out of hibernation maybe twice a year lol

I come on the site weekly on my mobile. I agree with phil, it needs a mobile version with a very easy way to upload pics. The pictures make it for me, if I could snap a pic on my phone and upload it with a couple of clicks it would be brilliant.

i agree. i cant often be arsed to upload to photo bucket and then copy the links across.

this is why i dont have any build threads or updates of bits i have done

that is fair enough Sacha :)

get it out racing soon :) (or buy another just to build into a road/track car :)

Have to be honest with it all with there on your phone its easy peasy

take a pic
hit photobucket
then paste it online (anywhere but here! lol)

i think the mobile version is everything -

photobucket app is thee easy way of uploading - couple of clicks and its done.

so long as its going onto a mobile site with no zooming or crap like that.

though i dont use my smart phone much for browsing the internet or checking ttgt....i agree with a few of the members that a mobile friendly platform is needed to keep pace with the times....let's face it, the masses are moving towards that and we dont want to be left behind as this site has an endless pit of knowledge and information to offer new/future and existing members who will most likely be using a smart phone of some sort either presently or in the future.

that said, i do prefer the old timers laptop or desk top....lol
