Serious over boost HELP

Well lads hoping somebody can help. I fitted a duel pipe decat,meshed the turbo inlet ,jam fcd,stainless exhaust,blitz sbc id and hks actuator problem is the car is boosting 1.5 bar.Put the standard actuator back on and it wont boost past .5. Is my hks one done in??? Thanks mark

seems to be a setting with your boost controller, maybe spring pressure settings, i'm not sure how those adjust the boost solenoid, i have in an AEM tru boost which uses a duty cycle to regulate.

I had a similar problem when I got a so called 'tuner' to install my actuator simply because I didnt have a clue what to do either at the time.

I think he got a bit confused when we opened the box for the actuator, and there wasnt just one vacuum line to run from the actuator to the turbo, there was 3 ( i think, maybe 2) and a t-piece so you could still use the hi-lo solenoid and the standard actuator has vacuum ports. He had somehow messed up the lines and whatever it was doing it was overboosting like mad, so it may be worth checking you have the boost controller correctly plumbed in to the single vacuum line that runs between the turbo and actuator.

The actuator is set to .5 of a bar so its not that...And the boost controller was grand in my other starlet...Could the diaphram be damaged in actuator???

my actuator used to rattle because it wasnt connected to the wastegate properly and it was boostcreeping like made even though i had it set to point 6.
i spoke to mike at tuning developments and he said a lot of hks actuators rattle and you just need a better clip and it would set properly.
all i used was a nut and bolt then and set the actuator again and it was boosting perfectly fine.

You could try that
it fixed all of my problems.

i did that before and worked good, akward if adjusting tho.
