In search of a 4EFTE crank pulley, I searched here and was happy to find someone
who had what I as looking for... and his name is johnnygt.

Just before we sealed the deal, he sent me a photo of the piece and an explanation as to the cost (Shipping was a killer but...):

johnnygt said:

i can also take a picture of the postage reciept once its been sent to you

pulley was removed from my car yesterday & it works perfect honestly :)

The following is/was my reply to johnnygt and the sentence at the end of the reply
("I don't expect to hear back from you but...") was meant to be a bit facetious

Here's the reply with photos I TOOK of the pulley:

Pulley arrived today and my initial excitement turn to DISAPPOINTMENT!

Very disappointed with the pulley... I paid $138 USD for a paperweight!!!

I was aware of the 2 chips which appeared in the photo you sent

...but there's also an apparent FRESH 3 inch chunk which wasn't shown in your photo...
and I can certainly understand why! I wouldn't have bought it had I known seen THIS:

The 3 inch crack is so severe that a belt will not be able to ride on the inner part of the pulley!!!

...and as mentioned, this is a FRESH break, unlike the two other smaller chips missing which have had time to oxidize!!!

and the keyway which slots to the crank has been slightly damaged as well as all of the above!

I don't expect to hear back from you but... I dunno!!!

A very DISAPPOINTED Yank![/QUOTE]

Yeah, looks like you are victim of that fellas antics Alf. You can see my responses to him in that thread.

Going from the photos (and past experience) a heavy impact has caused the damage. If it were done in transit your packaging would show it. To me it looks like he's used a hammer to bash it off the crank or it's hit the ground after removal. Or it's a different pulley. You'll probably never know the truth unfortunately.

Just waiting on him hitting fifty posts with his new username then we can ask him!

Yes, I paid with PayPal but I think the pulley is in a Maryland land fill by now...

In all my years of buying things from this site and others, this is the FIRST TIME I've been stiffed!!!

What really makes it hurt is that it was done by another 4EFTE guy!!!
