Speedo mileage stalk - Faulty

As above guys, the spring loaded stalk on my GT speedo has been playing up for a while. It springs back and forth but does not reset the mileage anymore.
Can anyone advise if it's possible to repair?

Thanks

If it's anything like the older celica units you should be able to swap the speedo for another
My boost constantly reads full tilt and that's my plan :)

It should actuate something in the Speedo to reset the counter. Could just be worn, or possibly broken.

Never looked in great detail myself, but I reckon it will need to be taken apart to have a look at. Post some pics and we should be be able to advise on what to do next if it isn't obvious once apart.

From memory it goes into the speedo unit so you might be looking at a new one of those. Will have a jeffreys at one if I get a chance later.

Have you tried turning the gear on the end manually to reset it? Fair play for getting that out in 1 piece it looks delicate hahaha

lol...It actually wasn't too bad in the end...just 5 screws and slowly removed it.
Once I engage the stalk I can move the numbers manually to resit but for some reason when you press the stalk nothing happens,
I came across the video earlier, so going to have a watch and see if I can figure out what the issue is:
