Standard LSD Identification

Some info that'll help identify Toyota LSD boxes:

Here's a standard Toyota gearbox (on the right) next to a standard Toyota LSD gearbox (on the left):

As you can see the LSD unit is pretty obvious:

Because of the housing difference the driverside driveshaft has to be shorter (LSD set at bottom / normal set at top):

Also the sandwich plate between the box and engine block comes in two parts too (LSD version on left of pics):

And due to the shape of the housing the rear gearbox mount is a weird shape compared to normal:

There's a few random differences that can catch you out too but that's the main ones covered..

NB: I'm going to state once again that I don't mind people sharing this info so long as they copy it complete and unedited. If you think you can do a better job then at least use your own pictures ffs.
