So if that pipe is for the map sensor, whats the small pipe thats already connected to my map sensor for then? cos im still gonna have a pipe that goes no where, and have an air leak

Just had another look at the picture mate, sorry had a bit to drink tonight as im off work all week, the pipe behind the manifold goes to the map sensor but it looks similar to the one in your picture, the pipe in the picture is not for the map sensor, it looks like either part of the fuel emission system/carbon cannister or air con, cant remember off the top of my head will have to double check in the morning, iv removed both anyway as there not really needed, unless you have air con still, if not then just block it off

Right well after checking everything over and leaving the battery disconnected overnight the car is now running as it was, but i noticed that one of the vaccume pipes is not connected to anything, and is causing my idle to be rather high, cos it goes down if i block the hole up can anyone give me an idea of where its meant to go, cos i cant see anywhere within the distance that it can reach where it connects too

as you can see the small pipe is connected to the bigger blue pipe at the back of the throttle body

Unsure but it looks very much like it should go to the MAP sensor. If there is already a pipe between the MAP sensor and the inlet manifold then that's fine. The way that's sitting at the minute is causing a vacuum leak so block it up and see if that sorts out the idle.

also what are these connectors for?

Ignore them mate. The one on the left is an unused connector. I think all four of my GT's have this random plug. The one on the right is the connector to the hi/low solenoid which seems to be missing.

yeah my car has had its air conditioning taken off. If i look at the top of what i believe is the fuel filter. There is about the same length of blue hose connected to the top of it that is not going anywhere, as the bit of pipe that is on the back of the inlet manifold. Is a vac line meant to be connected to the fuel filter?. Otherwise im guessing it would be safe to just block it off? also i was hoping one of those connectors had something to do with the Brakes. Cos the ABS light is always on, when driving along. indicating a ABS malfuntion.

that Vacuum Line for your MAP Sensor mate, its the pipe that goes on the underneath side of the MAP Sensor.

Have a look again, it should be it. I had the exact same problem before!

But if that one is for the map sensor, where is the vac line thats already connected to my map sensor meant to goto? lol thats what i dont understand.

Get some more pics up, of your map sensor and every other vacuum pipes

at least we might know if one is in a wrong place!

hang on, try the throttle body, it could be missing from that!

i'll get some more pictures tomorrow as its a bit dark to get pictures now. If it was missing from the throttle body, where abouts would it connect too?

cant remember where exactly, ive no pictures even to show you, just check the throttle body 2moro and have a look to see if there is a missing pipe from it.

wont be hard to miss if there is one missing!

hope u get it sorted mate. :)

sounds like that vacuum pipe goes to the top of the carbon cannister (just right of the fuel filter) the map sensor vacuum pipe is connected on the rear of the inlet manifold not ontop so its not that. If thats a spare plug then what connects to the connector i arrowed in the picture of my last post as those wires arrowed come off the brake master cylinder/reservoir, something around that area connects to it as the one i arrowed is not a spare plug, & maybe the reason your getting ABS faults

Ah i thought the fuel filter was on the right, and the carbon cannister was on the left? lol so yeah im guessing the carbon cannister needs a vac pipe on it then? or is it not important, cos id rather just block it up at the moment as i have no silicone piping, will have to wait till saturday probably

Right i blocked off that vac pipe but yet my idle was still far too high, i could just put it in 2nd gear lift off clutch and accelerator. And my car would keep rolling by itself lol. So did a search for high idle and i found out how to adjust the idle screw. Now sits at the mark below the 1k. As for that connector to do with my Brakes.

The connector was actually plugged into it, But the wires have been cut off, Anyone know where the wires from there are meant to connect too?

No i cant. thats why i asked if anyone knew where the wires were meant to go, cos the wires that i can see, look like the going in underneath the brake fluid resovoir. But i dont know where there meant to join on the other end?
