Hi all

I'm having a problem with my glanza in that when I try to start it it just turns over and over. Then right as I turn the key off it splutters into life. Any ideas? New plugs leads dizzy cap, getting plenty fuel. It's just right as I turn key off to stop cranking it it fires into life. Its really starting to wind me up any help appreciated

I should state aswell that upon checking the spark, there isn't one whilst it is being cranked but there is a couple sparks once I turn ignition off. Also when it was running it was missing in high boost 3rd 4th and 5th. Thinking its an issue with loom as iv swapped coil etc and still the same

I'm going to try running an earth from a pin in the ecu to the coil thanks to and old thread I found from Jay. I will do same to distributer if needed

It's an odd one. I think when the key is turned back from ignition start it puts the earth though asif it was running. But only just enough to fire it up. Fairly sure it's a dodgy earth or a touch in the loom somewhere. Will find out tomorrow

Have you another ignition loom you could try, have seen a few fail in various Toyotas over the years
If you disconnect it and identify the live, earth and start pins, normally marked on the end of the barrel you could jump the pins to check :)

Yeah rhats the plan mate but as this is being broken if I can't get it running I'm just going to break it early. Not interested in swapping looms when it's all going in the gt anyway
