The dodgey intercooler pipe sealing

The following pics below is of my intercooler system as done by the previous owner. As you can see, the previous owner did a bodgey ass job of sealing. On the turbo outlet side,there is a 3 inch silicone hose joining a 2.5 inch metal pipe that joins to the 2 1/4 inch intercooler pipe inlet.

On the intercooler outlet side, the 2 1/4 inch outlet is joined via a 2.5 inch silicone hose.


As you may have possibly read in the drag section, i did a 16.0 flat down the quater mile. Looks like this intercooler bodgey sealing may have contributed to the poor time.

this definitely contributed to your slow time one of my joiners split recently and it was only boosting about .9 when it should of boosted 1.6 ,i couldnt hear my screamer so i knew it was a leak somewhere

you be surprised what difference a small leak could make :)
