Just dial the cams in using a DTI and be done with it, that way you know your valve timing is spot on regardless of what the mark says on the pulleys.

OK so im getting an adjustable pulley on payday lol, what spec do i set it too? I've got a 5e engine manual but cant see specs n there, only cam marking referance

after some forum trolling i think im right in saying 2deg BTDC intake cam and 38deg BTDC exhuast cam for 4efe, 4efte, 5efe

5efhe (long duration cams) are 4 and 46

ill be using exhuast cam to setup and checking that the intake matches, because if it dosnt ive got wonky cams haha

Thats about all you can do with it, the 2 cams turning opposite directions through the internal gear and the amount of teeth on each of those gears makes it hard to do anything else.

After hours I ended up with the pulley set at zero, was ready to hit it with a hammer lol. I have resigned myself to fitting a clear section in the top timing cover so it can be seen, as decoration is all I found it good for.

lThe things we end up doing for no results :( i know the pain lol
In that case ill be checking how accurate the stock pulley is on both 4e and 5e timing marks using a DTI before i buy the adjustable if its actually needed.
