i have put this thought on with my tuners.
the first ting they put against it was the amount of tooth's of difference.
it is not a tooth or 2, it is a reasonable amount of tooth's.
it would be interesting to see the difference on some pictures.
recently i disassembled my 5e ignition unit(not needed anymore), it could be also an internal difference in the rpm pick-up and firering control loop.
