same here , i did everything , took upto -20 in the tables , have the adapter wired properly , it didnt flood at first then it started doing it !
i got 460cc and thats my problem

Same here mate,

I tried everything from -5 upto -20 and made no difference!

It either took away to much fuel or not enough likes there no inbetween. Getting really tired of it.

has anyone put up a video on how to map the emu for beginers ...might be easy for people to follow then

My particular problem was JP10 and JP21 on the EMU that prevented it from starting when warm.

My fuel maps are assigned to DIP SWITCH 1 & 2, i just pulled them down, start it, pull them back up and its fine everytime.

the emu can control injectors oup to 400% over stock ie in our case 1180cc .. so the saying the emu cant control 460cc's or 550cc's is incorrect lol.. :p

each inector set has its own "feel" so to speak, and the emu makes this a little bit more complicated by the tuner having to alter his tuning style for each different type.. even same size & same part number.. they WONT be tuned the same on the emu.. so if something traditional doesnt work try something completely different ;)

hey kon im trying to figure out how u can make this work??? i wanna run some e85 or MD60 (MD60 is my own blend of e85 only cheaper) but i need about a 700cc injector or bigger and am either having to change the EMU or find out how u are doing it? could u swing me a pm mate??? would b much help if u could :)

Wow I've just read throught this entire post. A lot of good info.

I just replaced my blue with an ultimate yesterday. I've yet to plug it in. I was interested in the launch control feature. I may end up playing with that and trying to get it to work.

BUT the main reason I bought the ultimate was because it plugs rite into all the wiring I have for my blue and I NEED to pull fuel. I'm running a fully forged 5e with MSD 756cc injectors. Blue can't compensate for that at all. I need to increase my revs to 8k too.

From what I have read on here I'll need that little injector #2 box?? Never heard of it before..... I have my car wired up with the main, injector, ignition and 3bar map sensor rite now.

Looks like I'll have to play with the i/j lag as well to get the car to idle properly.

Currently I'm idling at 10.5afr and my cruise speeds are around 10afr as well. I need to clean those up. I'm going to try and get in touch with some people who have some experience with the emu. I've played with the blue, but am far from a tunner. I just want to get a pretty good base tune then take the car to a dyno and get it mapped better.

I should be able to take my map from the blue and use that as a good base map for the ultimate rite?? I had my car dyno tunned and mapped last year.


Oh yeah I did a search on here to see how to set all the jumpers, hopefully I have them all correct. How can I tell what version I have? The manual says it only has 20 jumpers too. All I could see too.

If you take out the circuit board it should have a code on one corner starting with letter a, b , c , d, e or maybe g

a,b,c and d need the optional injector harness #2 and e and g do not

I have installed the software on a laptop which has windows 7 pro, everthing seems ok to the exeption of transfere to EMU unit. it doesn't reconize EMU :(
any tips ?

hi lio, no it doesnt work on 7 or vista... also it doesnt work on x64 bit operating systems..

simple fix would be to do a dual boot instalation with vista/7 and xp

just put a small partition for xp.

guys...

i have an emu (not sure with version) with the greddy 3 bar map sensor..
i want to get this launch control working

i am using the the ep82 manual ecu (2 connectors)
i will be wiring up the emu as per greddy wiring diagram ( T6 )

can anyone repost to me the screenshot again on how to get the launch control working...step by step..last time i printed i think it was 2 screens..
I have read thru the tread...i see a couple of screen shots..now am confuse which one is the correct one...

is the any other way for me to determine the version of the emu besides looking at the circuit board...as i want to know wether or not i'll be needing the injector adpter #2...

I just bought a 2nd hand EMU w/o the software... Where could i probably download or buy the software?
What else do i need to buy for my emu so i could finally fit it on my ep82? i just want to run 1bar of boost...
What settings do i need to do on the throttle settings? so i can run the launch control w/o any problem..

Wicked thread, i briefly tried it out today while idle on my ep82. i had it set up for 3800k and it started to work but anymore gas and engine management light will come on and seems like the engine cuts out very quickly as the EMU reconnects also.. I dont think i changed to ignition signal which maybe the cause of it ? I will try again tomorrow.

but would this cause the engine management light come on

iv sorted out the engine management light coming on, that was because i didnt change to ignition signal...

but now my worry is that, if i enter 4000 in the Start and Ign Cut speed @ 3000... the engine will start cutting at 4k and it wont drop below 3k. its like its reverse. also when driving it still cuts. any ideas?

it is for my gt.

i also tried the "reverse" 5.0v but the car didnt want to start.
