Time to leave the fold maybe?

Full respray back in 2002-2004.

Fun fact, it actually spent 23 months at the bodyshop in question so that two year gap is accurate :p

It will need another one at some stage, there's a few patches of micro-blistering that will need sorted eventually but it'll do fine for now.

Listen to Rick everyone - I hear this story all too often!

Not to sicken you but yes, still here :

Hasn't turned a wheel in years but I've been keeping the dust off it and recently stuck a rebuilt engine in.

I'm so jealous Jay. Whatever you do, keep it..........Until I have enough money to buy it. LOL!!!

I deffo remember the car mate. What did you end up getting after the GT?

I went with an Evo 5. It was a very capable car....when it was working. It was a Friday afternoon car that one. I danced a jig when I sold that.

I don't think I'll ever own a car as good as my GT.

I would looove an evo 5. Was it as expensive to run as the horror stories make them out to be?

Hope you manage to get another GT sorted at some point

It's worse dude.

18mpg and I had £7500 in receipts for maintainance and replacing broken parts in 2.5 years.

It was very fast but honestly less fun than the GT.

In hindsight I would have never sold my GT and I would have never bought an Evo.

Man I was hoping you weren't going to say that lol :(.
Did you do a majority of the work on it yourself or have a garage do the work?

Yeah the GTs are hard to beat for bang for the buck these days.
Although I do regret selling my EK9. By far the best handling car I have ever owned.

I have a family car for comfort and the starlet for when I need to blow the cob webs away and feel some fun. I used to have motorbikes but the starlet is not far off in the wet it can beat most big bikes and I stay dry.
I really didn't think the car would affect me like it has. Very very very underestimated this ep91 of mine.

It was an Evo specialist who did all the work on it. I really wouldn't advise doing the work yourself.

Thread revival.
Car will be potentially going up for sale in the new year.

Really starting to lose momentum with it, again. I seem to prefer driving my daily vag tdi boat these days. Deffo showing my age lol.
Anyone have rough idea what price td04 Twin Headlamp GTs sell for these days?

Tidy cars are selling for good money I think the closer to stock they are the better they are selling. Good cars are 6k these days maybe more depending on condition and spec.

Thats good to know. I'm just planning to keep my fishnet recaros and exhaust system. I did think to put it back to stock and sell the td04 bits seperately, but havent got the time or patients really.

Purely going by what I see djr imports selling on the Instagram 4/5K seems to be the story ?

I think I would be happy with 4.5-5k if I get that.
But at the same time I still think, will I regret it the second its sold haha.
