210hp 1.1-1.2bar for me on a gt spec. that is on a dyno dynamics rollers aswell on a JAM ecu.

The engine could of been making a lower BHP figure than expected possibily because of an under laying engine problem as we mapped a car with a lesser spec the other day and made more power the whole way through the rev range and less lag. Have you also considered that you may of got a lower quality of fuel than what the car was origionally mapped on which may of cause the problem to get worse quicker???

Here's the thread http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?92208-tongs-spec-gt-hybrid/page2

Who determained what caused the failure and do you have a written report from an engineer to back it up???

the engine was in good nick with good even compression, no i dont have a report nor do i need one the car was deting when we went to go for a road tune and the map had fuel being taking and timing added on boost, should be the opposite hence why it was detting and cracked a piston in a good engine also the speed cut was suposed to be activated and it was not when i asked him 3 times to do so

We are obviously taking your word on this compression check. Was it done by yourself of a mechanic??? If you were to compare both graphs as they are a similar spec I think you will find there must of been an under laying problem as there is a big difference in them.

Do you have a screen shot of the fuel and ignition tables.

I cannot comment on the speed cut but i will find out for you tomarrow.

yes you dont need to be a qualified mechanic to do a comp test! i had to rebuild the engine myself aswell and it was put well trough its paces yesterday to be proberly tuned and to cheak det unlike what i payed ye for, 4 hours up there for a shit map

no i dont have screen shots i seen the maps for myself, yer map and the new one, the new one has fuel being added and timin bein takin like it should be

maybe the company were it was mapped could remap the car ,or reinburst you for detting it ?seems odd

remap the car? you bloody joking? not a chance another blown engine is a nono not splashing out again on parts and machine work again. car is tuned now with a good map and it will stay that way!

they should be doing something rather than doubting me and think im talking shit.

whats has that got to do with yer shit map deting its tits off?

I didnt say it had to do with anything. Where did you get that from my comment??? Do you have a datalog, knock count or knock link fitted to detect this det or is it just from what your being told?or did you hear it yourself?? How do you know the fuel was consistant to what the car was origionally mapped on??? Was it from the same station??? As i said before comparing the 2 graphs earlier there definately seems to be a problem with the car being down on powerright through the rev range and if it was the case of fuel being taken out and ignition being put in on the map i wouldnt think it would of lasted as long as it did.

lol so why do you want to know who mapped the car for me then? my point is you dont need to know that info! the det was detected out on the road when we went to do a run to see what the map was like even with timing added we wanted to see the story and i was told let off, he then zeroed the timing graph and was still slightly deting at 4 - 5k

there was no problems with the car what so ever, i dont drive the car every day as its very impractical nor do i trash it alot hence the 2 weeks it lasted, and yes the petrol was from the exact station both maps were done on

I didnt ask who mapped the car, i only answered buckets question with the facts as you posted it on another forum.

How did you detect the det on the road??? Is this tuner a professional or part time??? (Im not slating this person in any way but there have been some that have been and gone in quite a short time)
