1999 Toyota Corolla Levin BZ-R, 12 months MOT, 5 months tax . These are rare cars with the BZ-R model being the range topper. It's a similar sort of car to an Integra Type-R
The performance/handling/braking is fantastic. It sounds amazing at full chat with the open throttle bodies. Being a 1999 it's one of the last Levins and is the facelift. (better front and rear lights, better front bumper, high level rear spoiler, etc)
Standard BZ-R spec is;
1.6 4AGE 20v Blacktop engine (170bhp)
6 speed short ratio gearbox with LSD
Superstrut suspension (basically acts like double wishbone)
Twin piston front callipers (same as MR2 Turbo)
Rear discs
Sports leather steering wheel with red stitching
Air conditioning (fully working)
No sunroof (makes it ideal as a potential track car)
OEM tinted rear windows
OEM wind deflectors
OEM storage bin in the boot
Electric folding mirrors
1080kg kerb weight
There are a few modifications;
16x7 BBS RG-F 366 alloy wheels (weigh 5.8kg each, forged and JDM only, £1500 a set)
Brand new Toyo T1-R tyres, done less than 200 miles
T3 velocity stacks
ITG air filter
D1 Spec earth kit
Genuine TRD Carbon fibre dash and speedo surround
Bonnet scoop fitted (to supply the throttle bodies with plenty of cold air)
Brand new Halfords battery with warranty
EBC yellow stuff front brake pads and brand new drilled and grooved front brake discs (both less than 200 miles)
RS-R lowering springs
Apexi N1 cat-back exhaust
De-cat pipe
Thatcham Cat 2 Immobiliser
Denso Iridium spark plugs
The car has had a full respray 6 months ago and is in superb condition. The interior is also in fantastic condition, no signs of wear on the seats, no burns, etc. The engine runs perfectly, sounds sweet, pulls hard all the way to 8,200rpm and most importantly, doesn't use any oil at all (common issue with these engines). Gearbox is slick, no synchro issues or anything like that. It must be one of the best Levins in the UK. I highly recommend coming to view this car, you can't help but be impressed it.
I've fitted new superstrut fig. 8 bushes and a new lower arm on the passenger side. I've also changed the cambelt 2000 miles ago.
Only 1 bad point to mention, the car has a double din Panasonic headunit which is a bit temperamental, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
