Toyota model codes explained

I found this on Lie-a-pedia, found it elsewhere and it matched so I will use it as a link. Its not xompletely comprehensive and I will explain why next, but its still interesting. Now the final letter on the GT and Glanza model code is "Y". This guide does not even mention Y in it, but it doesnt mention Japan either, so I am guessing Y is Japan. Now my EP85 ends in the letter K, but that is designated to the Canadian market, but all other EP8* and EP9* series cars apart form the GT and V are K???

Is it possible that some Starlets were not just Jap specific and there is more Starlets out in Canada that we dont know about????
