Barrie Newsome set a flying lap and was untouchable for most of the night, I will get you next year tho mate. lol

Final Class B Results

The final class B results gave Barrie the top spot with Phil close behind. I managed to grab 3rd but had a great fight all year against Greg who took 4th.
Next season I will be running a tuned car and not the standard engine I had this year so I should be even more competitive. Greg was also a lot quicker this weekend with his new hybrid setup so our close battles should continue next season.

Final Championship Results

Below are the final standings for all classes, I have only included the top 20 tho. Full results can be found at http://www.twistysprint.com/sprint/images/stories/files/tsschamp09.pdf

I managed to take 13th overall. Not bad for a standard engine against the tuned Celica GT4's. ;)

1 Jonny Milner Celica ..............GT4 ST205
2 Adrian Smith Corolla............ GT4
3 Otis Hayes Celica ................GT4 ST205
4 David Brooks ......................Starlet RWD 4age
5 Barry Charters ....................Celica GT4 ST205
6 Chris Cooke ........................MR2 MK2 Turbo
7 Russell Giddings ..................Celica GT4 ST205
8 Adam Levinson ...................Celica GT4 ST185
9 Nigel Boby .........................Celica GT4 ST205
10 Barrie Newsome ................Starlet Turbo EP82
11 Phil Cutler ........................MR2 MK1 SC
12 Steve Lawson ...................MR2 MK2 Turbo
13 Peter Coleman ...................Starlet Turbo EP82
14 Gregory Jones ...................Starlet Glanza EP91
15 Diane Turner .....................Celica GT4 ST205
16 Jeff Lotts .........................Celica 2.0GT ST202
17 Christian Timms .................MR2 MK2 Turbo
18 Jake Turner ......................MR2 MK2 Turbo
19 Andy Bunney ....................Celica GT4 ST185
20 Richard Morrow .................Celica GT4 ST165

A huge congratulations must go to David Brooks. The guy has been a demon behind the wheel of his RWD Starlet. It is always a pleasure to watch him race and I urge people to come along next season to watch, you won’t be disappointed.

I would also like to say a big Thank you to all the people that have supported me this season. Fingers crossed the Class B championship will be mine next year.
Keep an eye on my garage for updates to the MK1 GT.

Thank you Jay.
I hope this shows people that you dont need big power to be competitive and have loads of fun.

Sadly I need to sell the quad light to get the MK1 back on the road but I hope the next owner will enjoy her as much as I have.

Cheers Guys.

For anyone thinking of entering in 2010, its worth it just for the social life. I laughed my head off at JAE this year.

Next year the series will be having club stands at some of the big jap shows and we also get discounted track days through Javelin Trackdays at places like Silverstone.
