TPS unplugged, makes no difference ? Throttle Position Sensor

As per title,

I've noticed that when I take off the plug on the TPS (throttle position sensor) nothing happens ? The cars idle doesn't change, it doesn't show up any errors ? Accelerator actually feels a bit better though (revs don't drop down so quick when accelerating in neutral).

Is this symptoms of a faulty TPS ?

Thanks

The thing is though, the ECU doesn't recognise it as being a fault ? I would have thought it would flash in the diagnostic mode of being faulty, but even when unplugged it makes no difference ?

the ecu diagnostics is very very basic, i wouldnt trust it, do things the old fashioned way would be the best

disconnected tps equals half throttle on a non-automatic tps.
doesn't matter for idle or half throttle, only on full throttle but the ecu will not throw any errors in most cases. It most probably only will on > 60 km/hour and more than xxx rpm.
