as above something u could get for under a grand and easy worked on and cheap parts would be good. on offer at the mo is a vtec crx and an mr2 2.0 but hi miles on both so not sure.

you'd be better off with the v-tec's over the mr2 anyway those n/a mr2's are useless

Here is one of them useless n/a MR2s going past a Lotus Elise, they would surprise you what they can do when set up right, it only has a bastardised MR2/Starlet exhaust and an air filter.

They are heavy but, the Civics would be lighter and I wouldnt worry about high mileage as long as the engine is sound.

They are a bit heavy, and it looks like he has won the jackpot with all those fault lights on the dash lol.

ha ha i no but there is some serious poke in it, u would have some laugh sailing that around the tracks corners it would make some shapes.

what about a lancer gsr 1.8 4x4 turbo, some going for in or around that, parts are ok and some evo parts suit to.

mr2 in the video still looks pretty usless to me

Well depends what youre after. Front wheel drive honda if your talent is limited, mr2 if you want a challenge. 1 MIN 12 round kirkistown certainly aint useless.

Useless in what way?? The car is as useless as the driver really, just like that elise in the vid WeeJon has posted.

What car are you after? The Lancer would be kek and not as reliable as the MR2 or vtec

Know its prob not your cup of tea but what about a 106 gti or saxo vts? 2 of my mates run them as track cars. cost them fuck all to buy and the parts cost less than a bag of chips

pretty good round the track with a few simple mods

From doing this for a while, turbo cars on a circuit like Kirkiston where you have a lot of full throttle time dont fair so well, they tend to overheat a bit. Having something with a little less poke out of the corners actually helps your driving, you know all about a bad line when you dont have the engine power to make up for it lol.

I think the Civic would be a good choice, FWD and good reliability, plenty of cheap parts out there if you want to change bits and pieces.

am not a honda person at all, what do u think of lancer gsr, for the money the are going for now the would be a hell of a car for the track.

Wouldn't buy a GSR for track, the internals are very weak once you start modding them and add to that the pressure of tracking one im sure it would end up off the track more often.

Unfortunately the best idea's I seen were the honda's and the vts/gti recommendations, all have very good handling.
You could have went for a levin bzr aswell but they don't have the availability of parts in the same way as the others.

N/A mr2's can definitly hold they're own and are far more reliable than a GSR. But if it was for track I'd look out for a ss3 beams celica. Same power plant in a car designed more for handling.
