Hi guys,
Can anyone give me or point me in the direction of a guide to underseal my GT?
I have been putting this off for a while, but in order to keep the underneath of my car rot free, I know its gotta be done.

Is the something I can do on my drive at home, or am I better off paying a garage to do it?

Thanks for any input.

All depends on how far in your going bud, you talking wire brush back to the steel or a tidy up.
I did my tank a few years ago and the area around where the tank was looked ok so I left doing anymore lol.
I'd love to strip it all right back but I'm feared of what I'd find in the sills lol
The red lead stuff I used is in my thread bud, 10er a litre can :)

As said above, depends how far you wanna go, personally id give it a good wash off underneath, using tfr or some strong cleaner. Wheels off, bumpers off, wheel arch liners off, skirts off, all to allow full coverage. Really cleaning out all the small crevices, arch lips, behind arch liners, fuel filler neck ect.

Allow it to air dry possibly over a few days, then hit it with some waxoyl, used 3m on mine and its lasted really well and dirt just doesnt stick.

Its a messy job though so be prepared.

My Cars never going to be a show pony - well unless I hit the lotto:D - so it was mainly just to give it a good clean and prevent rust/rot.

@SKINY good point. I'm afraid at what I may uncover too, if I go to OTT:rolleyes: ....they're getting on these days as we know.

I know from kneeling down just my drivers inner rear is AWOL plus a bit off outer sill on down, passenger side inner rear looks ok,ish and the rest ok. Sills could be mint below the skirts or pure horror story :)

I need to get my GT the waxoil treatment but I dont think I have the time at the moment to do it myself so I'm looking for a place to do it for me, it should give it some much needed protection from the forthcoming winter.
