Hi guys. Basically, i was underneath my car emptying the oil sump and i noticed this:

its damage to part of the exhaust system, but i dont even know what that part is for :noidea: , or how bad/costly the damage is or if its effecting performance etc.

I also noticed that the air pipe (i think) on my engine isnt connected to anything, but surely it should be?

im just trying to get to the bottom of why my ep82 is drinkin so much fuel, most ive got out of her is bout 220 miles, and that was taking it easy.

If anyone can shed some light il be most grateful

The first part is the exhaust flexi, they always get damaged like that but aslong as it isnt blowing thats fine.

That looks like the pipe that goes to the inlet manifold?

I never used to get much more than 240-260 to a tank.

The flexi is damaged, you can get an exhaust place to replace it if you want.

Oh yeah, the one that is d/ced is the one for the recirc valve, you must have an aftermarket one with a vac line straight to it.

don't worry about Ur exhaust its just a scuff on the flexi
does your car have an aftermarket dumpvalve cause that's the pipe for the standard one

Good to know about the flexi, il check tomoz if anything is blowin out.

And yeh, ive got a blitz dumpvalve so it must be that then.

soz if amateurish q's lol, but just getting into all this, and luvin it :D
