Clearing out and packing up the loft and came across a Scalextric set I bought when Mason was a toddler, maybe 14 years ago now, used once then stashed and forgot about lol

My god…now that brings back some good memories man.
I still have my BTTC Scalextric buried in the loft somewhere.
May have to dig it out to see if my skills are still up to scratch.

i could google it, but i'll ask here...what is a loft? :D ...it's first time i'm hearing the term---i'm assuming attic? basement? storage room? from the context here

Yes - attic or roof space would be the same thing.

Have to say, I thought Skiny would have had a full scale green house installed - pleasantly surprised matey :p

LooL Jay suprise :)

A set of electric seats from my old st185 gt-four is all that remains up there now, house nearly all packed up lol

just to explain and generally speaking, as there are variations to every case
on older average properties, some people tend to keep things in an external "shed" attached to the house/premises...or sometimes in the "cellar" under the house, which is the empty space between the ground and floor. Given the potential for flooding in the rainy season, this "cellar" space can be around 2 to 6 feet high or more in some cases

more modern middle/high income houses can have proper store rooms, basements, attics (aka lofts :) )

Loft conversions are wild popular too, it's an extra room if you get it floored etc, will be doing ours next year for more space/chill zone :)

Couldn't have anything of value stored in an external shed in the UK, would just get stolen

I'm lucky, I don't live in a high crime area, but it's not unheard of for people to have things taken :(

well that's a bummer...yeah, better to keep things more securely stored in the loft then

Loads of parts for my ep91 as spares and old 80s and 90s Nintendo stuff I've had since I was a kid
Some of that stuff is worth a fortune I'd say.
I sold my SNES a couple of years ago for 200 quid no games 2 controllers, near sure I have the capcom gun still hmmm, sold the bazooka for 120 games, loads of 15-50 a pop
If you have the original robot from the 1st console that's worth a good lump too :)

Yeah some of it is worth a decent amount mainly the boxed stuff and rarer cartridges I'm not a collector just never threw it away for nostalgic reasons mainly the first game boy nes stuff and n64
