Which is best Anti-virus program for pc?

The most annoying problem I had was that it kept on loosing the LAN connection,

I found that very annoying also with a router with win 7 which pulses for IP6 and knocks out the connection as my router was IP4 . The old hardware worked fine with win7 after I disabled IP6 in the settings not sure you will be able to do this in Win8 as the ultimate direction for this software is to eventually only run on Microsoft hardware a bit like the MACS have their own dedicatted hardware software combo now. Then I guess it will be just microsoft anti virus , let the games begin.

I doubt microsoft will do that for the PC market, surely for the smartphones and tablets, but not the PC's if they will then Unix based OS will benefit a lot.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials on mine and all my customers systems. Used to use AVG but it's becoming more bogged down with options / features which aren't needed
