whineing speakers

theres a whineing sound coming from my speakers and it seems to change in pitch with my revs. Any ideas what might be causing this? It isn't a new problem but I was sat in the back yesterday (in my own car, wrong eh?!) and I've only just realise how annoying it is to passengers in the back!

happened on a few of my cars, sure its something to do with ya headunit having a certain valve or lack of, such as when ya hear your mobile phone about to ring or ya phone checking for signal etc

one of my mates 6x9s used to do this....

as he rev'd the car the pitch would go higher, think he actually liked it :p

not sure of a fix :(

yeah both my 6x9's do it. At first I though it was a sound from either the turbo (its my first turbo'd car) or exhaust till someone turned my stereo off and it stopped! lol

Thats not the fix I'm after BTW!

Yea id be nearly sure its the wiring of your amp, check your wiring i had it before ended up being the power cable for the amp touching one of another wire in the car gave the annoying soung of the engine revving.Edit How have you got it wired??

The wires should be ran underneath the carpet, the power cable for your amp and the speaker cables should be kept seperate, power down the passenger side the rest down the drivers side.
