White Smoke....???

Intoxicated

Same issue - No smoke otherwise, only when I rev it hard till about 6500 RPM while driving and I let go the accelerator, I see a cloud around 2200 RPM.

No oil in the rocker cover breather - Turbo seems to be fine as well, as I said above - Other than that no smoke at all.

What could be the reason? PCV Valve? Somebody told me it could be the MAP sensor. :-/

Worried for the motor, any solutions?

ihave a smoke before grayish or white though... replaced valve seals piston rings and oil rings i did it all so then the smoke is gone!

turbines will not produce smoke if it is dry from oil right?!

Just reading through this post and I seem to be having a similar problem. The smoke was mostly pale/white vapour rather than thick smoke although it does tend to become quite a bit at idle or when sat in traffic. Goes away after a few hard revs but appears again when I drive off and stop again.

Initial thought was headgasket as it was pretty much burning water as my overflow emptied itself. Decided to check the cooling system and found a deteriorated thermostat and a damaged radiator cap. Thermostat has been replaced but not the radiator cap. Could this be causing the problem or should I check anything else? Its a TRD pressure cap btw which is 1.3 bar

Hi all

One of my friends starlet has a slight problem , basically cold start his car doesnt smoke(well it does that slight white kind of smoke that smells of fuel not no thick smoke)<~~ like mine used to aswell think a few mapped starlets do.
under boost it doesnt smoke, when he revs it , the first rev leaves a puff of blue smoke.
Also he said for the first time he noticed after a little run he left car on idle so it was fully warmed up. When on idle it was giving out blue smoke , but then he turned it off , 2mins later he turned it on and it wernt smoking.
So could it be turbo seals,?
Or something else stem seals?
