Ideal second jobs are cleaning, bar work etc. I try and do IT support work outside of my main full time job as an IT Technician

Word of mouth is working out best, also chucking the odd facebook status out seeing if anyone needs anything done! I'll be doing shop window adverts and stuff in the next week or two

..

I have 2 jobs I work in my dads newsagent every Sunday for free tho and I work in a Chinese 2 days sometimes 6 days it varies.I get £1.10 every delivery and £20 a night so I can come out with about £60 on a Friday and about £50 on a Saturday(including tips) if I'm lucky but most of the time I get about £40 on average and It cost me about £5-£7 on fuel a day on average
I would recommend a delivery job in a takeaway you can end up with a fair bit of cash at the end of the week

i work relief work on a ferry when im home from the tanker. extra grand or so a week, my mates and the people i work on the tanker with think im mad, but i think i would go mad if i just sat in the house or watever for 7 weeks off.

bar job is probably the best job, i worked in a bar during my student life, and then the last year or so i worked on the doors, really good money.

be prepared tho, 2nd job is taxed at a higher rate, and delivery jobs, you need business cover for your car insurance, otherwise its a possible 8 points.

I work as an Estate Agent most days but the days i get off i do building work/construction work for my Father on each of his properties (hes a developer) and every day in the evening (7 days) i work in my Brothers takeaway helping him out so the hours i do is way too much. Especially on weekends its like 8am to 5pm then 5.30pm to 4am.

Im always tired and currently engaged and my Mrs doesnt approve of my hours.

Ha! Family for you!

Yes, supermarkets, bars, resturants, take aways, hardware stores - B&Q is good for discounts, car washes - ARC are good. Odd jobbing can be good (as you say: IT for your experi. Also mowing, weeding, painting fences, dog walking, house sitting, baby sitting etc...) but you have to do alot of advertising and push ppl. I find it is better to have a routine job like the businesses in the first sentence. Odd jobs appear to be just that, jobs that appear/dissapear on odd occasions.

I work at Asda 'seasonally' (min 40 hrs per yr but I can work as often as I want). I'm a Chemical Engineer in management in Libya 28 days on 28 days off in my other job.

Cheers

fuckin sure i wouldnt be working in asda, if i was a chemical engineer, in a management role. i wouldnt have a second job now unless it paid minimum £15 an hour.
