850bhp to the wheels and he's running an OEM gearbox?! Thats impressive!
I think he was probably getting at the same point I was that the power does not match the times too well. fwd cars with 500hp that are setup properly here are running mid 9's. Ill be looking to crack the 10s this year with just over 300. 850hp just seems excessive for the times. Impressive power none-the-less.
Nice setups too. Makes me wanna hit the track again :drive:
Let me put it this way...
What would a RWD vehicle of a similar weight and power run down a 1/4 mile? A fuckload faster than and FWD car would, that's for sure.
I can understand that it has been modified to a purpose (and done to a high standard at that), but that amount of power in something as light as a Starlet and FWD is a massive waste. I bet it wheelspins all the way up the drag strip.
Blimey, impressive, but if I had put that much effort into a car I'd want to drive it for more than 40 seconds a year.
If you ever manage to make a drag machine like that and manage to keep it sticked on the floor without piss your pants once in every gear change then buy also a drag strip and drive it all the day up and down.

some harsh comments up in this thread............
Whats harsh? There peoples views nothing really harsh though tbh.
It has absolutely no appeal to me. I'm a fan of good old real motorsport that involves corners!
A space monkey could drive that car in a straight line. Each to their own though.
