Ha thanks for all the feedback.

Was chatting with Nick Jones about potential media content and had some ideas floating around so my editor adn I put this together as an idea, obviously its a first edit etc but worth getting feedback on everything really.

The music is Mr Scruff, I love the tune but its marmite...

Ideas on what you would like to see?

Nothing that promotes dangerous driving.

Couple of hints;

If you’re going to do chase shots make sure there aren’t other vehicles in the shot, or obstructions (Tax disk). Don’t speed up shots to make cars look faster, just gives a bad impression.
You need to use a proper camera mount for the Extreme close up shots so you don’t get the amateur camera shake.
You need to make your edits move in time with the music otherwise it doesnt matter what music you use, it wont feel right.
Also, if your promoting a company, it might be good to show what the company does, the subject in the video looks like a standard GT and nothing special, You need engine shots and interior views.

Pete's right.

Song was awful and didn't match the video.

As above an industrial estate or track would be the only way to go.

Proper camera's too, that looks like a phone camera.

I kind of think that a promo vid would be a waste of money for Nick, there are so many other areas he could spend a marketing budget that would be far more effective.

Seems to me you're touting for work and doing it very poorly.

not really trying to make the car look fast just playing around with different effects, slowing down and speeding up etc...If it were a professional edit we would have done various things differently such as the mounting of the camera, what was used is actually a full HD Panasonic with the proper mounting equipment not someone pointing their mobile out the back of a car! We werent too bothered about the tax disc or chase car as it is an excercise to generate ideas only.

You guys must understand this is an experiment for feedback so you can withhold your destructive comments and help us with your good constructive feedback please...Nick's car is not ready yet so filming that on track has been a no go, but that is obviously good feedback if Nick were to decide to do a promo video of some kind.

Problem is that these types of vids tend to work better with music, but then picking the right music to use with the required rights etc to use on youtube is always going to be a difficult job.

Here is one I put together as a proper client jobby, which took a month to get right! The above was done as a cheeky afternoon experiment. I think some of you will have seen the below vid possibly..

How much would you charge for a video like that above?

You never said the stuff in Bold in your first post....

If you put your self out there than you have to be prepared for criticism and the way you put it across was as if it was the finished article.
