Sounds like you have a sensor unplugged or something, any codes come up on the system? I had this issue when I 1st put my engine back in after a rebuild but I think it was a sensor or broken wire somewhere

As said above make sure tracking is good and also make sure your front wheels are balanced properly

Yep, got mine around a year ago for £100, got a td04 for like £70, both were spot on, their so easy to come by

Only thing you'd need to do would be buy the turbo(£100) get a remap and maybe injectors if yours won't cope, remember it is quite a bit laggier and Youl lose bottom end power, but top end makes up for it as it will pull stronger in 3rd 4th and 5th, I'd say 0-60 is slower though in fairness...

Did you use arp stretch bolts? If you did I think you may find it may have blown due to maybe not having head and block skimmed? Iv re used my arp headbolts twice and steel headgasket twice and all is holding up fine so far at 1.3bar on td05 for the last 5000miles touch wood, hopefully you just...

I had a forged rebuild done and after about 2500miles I started getting problems like your having, turned out to be piston failure and as I'd left it a while it made a lovely mess of my cylinders walls, I'd put my money on ring or piston damage, if I were you I'd get a compression test done...

Not sure if it's the same as here mate but Ye you do need planning here, we put a building up the same as what you want to do 3 years ago without planning and we have about 6weeks before we have to take the whole lot down, we got away with it for 2years and then you get a nosey jealous bastard...
