    So....it means that 99% of Evo owners can leave the MAF where it is, doing a good job of what its supposed to do, and isnt restrictive at all, just safer to take out the equation if going to 600+

    Latter cars 5 onwards do it to a point then stop due to the different thrust bearing fitted, whereas earlies will just contiune to go through journel and web, but its a small margin that actually do walk and its easy to check for before buying

    not if you extend the tables it doesn't, the only restriction with a maf is when it collapses internally from too big a turbo sucking on it ;)

    How are we Trev, long time no see! Ive just rebuilt the Evo1 i got from you, guys an animal with motors but its still the same bod that originaly bought it, just finally done the roof on it as well!

    Not true, evo's 'all' can crankwalk (not sure about the 10), it was me that solved the problem on the earlies with a mod to the bearing carrier which to date seems to be 99% success. Just for the record my red evo2 car (you would find pictures on here somewhere) was 510hp ran 10.55, i used it...

    Thats the key, you need man power and time and i agree is it worth it in the end which is why i never continued with my work on the ecu ages ago, things like megasquirt are a cheap alternative that are full of features and plenty of people contribute to all the time

    On the early evo its adla for logging which i make cables for and mapping through the ostrich live via usb cable that comes with it, yes the sky is the limit even extra load and timing tables have been extended to higher boost levels. More details are available on my site http://www.4g63.co.uk

    No the early evo/scoob/lancia/ducati uses a eprom chip to store address in hex on, through various input/output sensors around the engine it then compares what its recieved and looks to the 'look up table' (the eprom) to see what it should or shouldn't be doing i.e fueling/timing/boost etc...

    As a Link agent i must admit Link usually do the same, but if something is created then it can be reversed, always!
