    SAFC adjusting and dropping out of tune

    When I first tuned the SAFC I was getting at rock steady 11:1@WOT in 3rd gear but then it started to go rich again creeping to 10.2-10.5@WOT. I retuned it to 11.5:1 before I went to the japshow at Santa pod and it was fine. Now it's creeping back down again... I really want a proper stand alone...

    SAFC MAP help

    Thats interesting pal, on my SAFC 1 i have access to HIGH map only and used ** in the settings for the non variable TPS. Also the throttle change point (as far as i know) is made redundant? I'm using a TD04/RHF3 hybrid from tong turbo. What AFR are you getting @ WOT in 3rd gear?

    Thanks for the reply. My injectors are stock, MAX fuel i'm removing is 16%. I'm also only using the high map as my TPS is a non variable type. Could you tell me your basic settings (if you dont mind) so that i can get a picture. PM if you prefer.

    afr wideband

    I use a innovative lc-1 and its fantastic! you really learn what the engine is doing. I've tuned my mira turbo using an SAFC and have done a rough map for 11:1 but i will be going down to 11.5:1 for a little more power.

    SAFC MAP help

    I've done a rough map with my SAFC. When you guys use them do you lean the mixture off at the bottom of the rev range or start rich then lean out at the top? for example.. 1000rpm -14 2000rpm -13 3000rpm -12 and so on... I've left the bottom std and started taking fuel away at 3000rpm...

    Boost issue help!

    Is is the brass type one? there should be s spring that drops out when you remove the bolt. To increase boost you screw the bolt in, when i bought mine the other week i had to screw it in a fair few turns before it adjusted the boost.

    Yeah i understand the timing side and i would like to go down that route, i've struggled getting info for the emanage for my ECU. Over in malayasia wiring diagrams and info are all top secret! I've looked into det cans before, DIY job?

    Just got a brand new 4 wire HKS FCD off ebay and although i have instructions there all in japanese!! I have the following wires: RED BLACK YELLOW WHITE I persume the black is EARTH and the RED is a 12V feed? (or does it share the MAP's 5v feed) White and yellow are for the MAP but...

    FCD + SAFC + MAP+ ECU ....in which order?

    so i cut the wire and basically wire in the SAFC and FCD in series with the FCD next to the ECU..Sorry i'm bit confused thats all. if the safc intercepts the signal first and then sends a reference back to the ECU the FCD will then clamp it and the ECU will only read the FCD rather than the SAFC?

    As above...? I've been told to install in the following order... map-->FCD-->SAFC-->ECU so basically the SAFC has to be closest to the ECU. Is this correct? :confused:
