Does anyone have the part number for a EP91 alternator? Or Can anyone confirm whether an alternator off a 4EFE version would fit to a 4EFTE glanza? Cheers

ok, if the twisted wires are uncovered you best get some electrical insulation tape to wrap around the exposed wires to in order to reduce/prevent risk of electric fire

it's a common find to see that people just cut wires for the stereo then bodge it by twisting the new wires together etc Do you have an owners manual? I'm at work atm so cannot remember off hand the exact fuse to check, as far as I can remember the one you would need to check is the one inside...

Fuses are located both under the bonnet (on the right when you look at the car from the front) and also underneath the steering wheel (it's sort of in line with the gap between the clutch and brake pedal and it has a cover over them) Also are you running a sub/amps etc?

did you actually see these tossers trying to break into it? They must have been quick if you were only in Mc D's

Nah had one made myself by a firm in Portsmouth called Pirtec, they took my old pipe and manufactured one that day on site buddy

thanks Daz it's all been sorted now, was the oil feed pipe, I've had a custom stainless steel braided hose made up for it and it's sweet as a nut now :) Thanks tho mate!!

can't seem to find any cheap ones about? Is it specifically a Glanza alternator that I need or do any other toyota models fit? i.e. corolla, yaris etc

gain on the amp which works is halfway, gain on amp which trips out is minimal just under a quarter and both amps are earthed direct to chassis (top rear mount which I sanded down and cleaned with white spirits to remove all dirt)

no it isn't, like I said I am not a novice with car audio which is why this problem is so frustrating to me.. I'm now thinking maybe the earth rods inside the headunit may have gone and as for the amp it still puzzles me

yeah I've got remote and power completely opposite to RCA's and both my amps are earthed to the same point so this is why I just don't get it? My alternator has just died completely so this might have something to do with it in some aspect :S

Hi, I'm generally knowledgeable when it comes to car audio but I can't for the life of me work out why I'm getting quite bad interference through my speakers? It keeps tripping out one of my amps and the other plays but with this ridiculous inference!! Now I've taken it all apart to check...

thanks for all your replies on this, the only gasket I seem to be able to get is a normal 4E manifold to block gasket so I'll get that now today and fingers crossed that should resolve my issue :)
