but will they break with constant boost? or even with boosting for example 1.5 bar for a few seconds?

would have saved them if he didnt push the engine to much? changing gears in 7k!?

I can't unfortunatly turn the boost up to 1.4 cause I've the engine sold, I was in a similar position, I had a new forged setup ready to put in so thought wot the hell.

Chris mapped her up in January or Feb, I competed in Feb, March and Aprils drag days, as well as all the other abuse on the roads, which was alot :)

Took the engine out in May and sold the bottom end, the bottom end looked to be in good shape. There was approc 65,000 miles on the engine.

7K is the only place to change on a TD04 :p but ur right its the revs that woulda inflicted the damage I woulda thought.

Damage Report

Towed the car to my garage yesterday and put it on a ramp and had a quick look. Oh dear, conrod has put 2 holes in the block and 2 holes in the sump! Also has damaged the starter motor. Luckily I have a spare starter :)

First thing in the morning i'm gonna start removing the engine and put the forge in. I'll take lots of pictures of the damage for people :D

I'm also gonna try and fit my Whiteline rear ARB, anyone got any advice fitting it or a tutorial ?

Matt

PS Big thanks to Tuning Developments for coming to save me and towing me in the mighty Rolla :D:D
