Thats immense
What turbo is the 5E feeding on?

The turbo is a garret GT2540 still on 16psi.

Its not a dedicated drag car either. Its still a street car and im looking to get into some circuit work soon. The suspension is only kyb shocks and king springs so I might need to put in some more work.

Id also like to setup launch control in the autronic soon too. Havnt got a chance to try it out yet.

Cheers

Harry

Yeh with 20hp shot of gas. We used it for the turbo. Now gets full boost at about 3500rpm. We're reving the 5e to 7800rpm but with cams we should be going higher.

Exhaust manifold was 101 motorcafe, its all tuned length. The inlet was a guy in new zealand. The runners are very skinny but I got it for AU$300 so it was cheap.

good time Harry you must be very happy! :)

like goldenvtr said we used toyo r888's didnt find them much better for drag than normal road tyres (wanted keep it street legal) but we couldnt warm up properly, everytime did so the clutch played up down the strip :( but you prob wont have this problem plus you got much warmer track and more dry days over there (im very jealous) lol

Its very important to do quite a large burnout. If the clutch is slipping than thats usually a sign that the tires are hooking up well. You need to drop the pressure down to around 10psi and slide the clutch a lot. You probably need a better clutch though.

we do have much warmer tracks but thats not always a good thing. The 11.7 was run with 48deg C track temp. The track gets slimey and slippery around that temp.

The swift I was racing against uses them and pulls consistant 1.8 60 fts. Pulled a few 1.7's but snaps the driveshafts so he's taking it easy.

The street tire fwd record here is held by another swift at 11.2 using these tires so they do work very well, even though they are a cicuit tire.

Just for you gaz, Heres that swift I was talking about. Has 240hp at the front wheels then he puts the pin back in so I say he'd have under 200hp at all fours. He just did a 12.2 now as well. That wrx owner was cut. Its got a 2.5L fully built motor:p

What 60ft were you doing without nos when you did the 12.2 ?

1.72. On the 11.8 in the other vid there I think it was a 1.88. My old slicks were great but they didnt have enough height to get me past 119mph in 4th. I need some wider rims now to spread the 8" slicks out a bit more.

Damn :| If I did that 60ft I'd be running 12.1 with the little K24 on semi slicks. The funny thing is I just have 110mph terminal speed.

harry your car is savage... looks proper quick that does... amazing the amount of grip you get, i really do need to get my slicks on and test them out....

really really good time, i would be estatic with that especially on FWD

Thanks mate. Im pretty happy with the time. I just cant wait to get out there again.

Theres not much grip with my new slicks. The swift beside be is on toyo R888 semi slicks and actually did a better 60ft than me. But he has many years experience now and im just starting out.
