@monkfish yes I'm well aware there are several options available, hence the reason for this thread...if you could elaborate on some of these options, I'd be thankfu
I was going to keep it quiet as I have plans, but bollocks to it, I may as well share the knowledge.
I'm staying Jap, but I'm going to be running stock Nissan 200sx s14a disks and calipers. 2 pots and 270-280mm disks for £150-200? Thank you very much. Get some brackets made up and I'd have a big brake setup that cost less than £300 to build and would probably do just as well as some of the expensive kits out there.
The other good thing is, the Brembo 4 pots off the R34 fit the same brackets, I'm just not sure if they tuck under 16's. Should do, but they're expensive to get hold of as it's a common s14a upgrade (Which is why there are always disks and calipers knocking around). The only other problem is the calipers say "Nissan", but that's nothing an angle grinder won't fix :homer:
There are plenty more options to go for, but that one is readily available (I'm good friends with one of the South Wales rep's for SXOC, so I can get hand-me-down bits). What you want to look for is a large performance car that runs 16" wheels and large brakes stock. Guaranteed they'll be upgraded with something else, so there should be plenty available. Would be able to get replacements from motor factors too
