just spent the last 4 hours removing the manifold, turbo and downpipe.
all the bolts were pretty rusted over and it looked like they had self welded themselves tight.
first tried to remove the cat pipe in order to just fit my decat/screamer and boom first nut sheared off so that meant off with the lot.
undid the 2 outer bolts on manifold with ease but the middle 2 weren budging, they looked like someone had already had a go and was not successful.
so couldn replace the cat and couldnt remove manifold, so i looked at the bolts holding the turbo on the mani and there was only 2 on it?? they were literally hand tight.
once the turbo/cat was off i could see that there were cracks on the inner part of the manifold, this aswel as another crack near the 3rd piston - i new this had to come off.
i cut the cat off the turbo as the nuts were rounded to fook and found another large crack on the wastegate port, this was the 3rd crack to be discovered.
after trying various ways to get the mani off the block i thought ef it and took the grinder out, so basically now i need all parts replacing bar the decat.
whats the best and cheapest way to source a mani and ct9?
whats the cost of a tubular mani and hybrid ct9?
i do have a gt25r turbo but cant see it being beneficial where i live, but if i did whats the supporting mods i need?
