well i dont know if grant will like me doing this but oh well
It went on the rollers yesterday the Nos and Dastek was all fitted apart from needing the bottle filled and a switch for the throttle.
It turned out the turbo wasnt boosting past 0.7 and was struggling for some reason, paul was very good and spent quite sometime looking for boost leaks and any other reason for this happening. However he couldnt so he mapped it at 0.7 which it made somewhere around 200atf and grants taken it back home to remove all the intercooler piping and refit with new clips, aswell as fit a filter as the intake was just meshed. If this doesnt solve the problem the turbo is coming back off and being sent back to Essex Turbo who made it to be examined.
It feel fairly quick on the way back and was actually boosting a bar on the road so it should hopefully be sorted soon and producing some impressive figures.

Thanks for the update Joe I'm sure he will get it sorted. Did Paul say what he thought the problem was? I was hoping good things for that turbo, it certainly looked good, oh well.

Paul didnt really no we were all stumpted he hooked an air compressor up to the intercooler piping just of the turbo and there was a leak where the injectors meet the intake mani due to them needing new sills but not enough to cause that much of a boost drop.
Hopefully its something simple as he is getting abit disheartened by the whole build now with all the agro.

thanks for all the updates joe.... lol ok well now you can come tell them we fixed it.. in the end all it was was the mesh i used for the turbo was a frying pan splash mesh it was super restrictive on air flow hence the turbo not boosting past .7bar on the rollers, now ive changed for a air filter its boosting very nicely, it comes on much easier and ive turned the boost up to a bar its feeling very fast. rite as for lag it drives with moderate power off boost which is until 5k revs then a wack of serious power till the limiter, ill be eliminating this problem hopefully with the progressive nitrous on the throttle sensor which looks very nice in the bay and boot i might add lol also the boost will be upped to 1.4bar and the fueling set accordingly it did make 200hp at .7bar that is true cant say an actual figure now im on a bar but its safe to run at this power.. as soon as ive got 155 quid and my nos throttle sensor and bottle filled up im back to engine advantages for a remap. hoping to get it mapped before japshow!!!!!!! but all is well now ive done 150 miles in it it eats petrol like u wont believe and i have dusted off a few fast cars allready. more updates on this car when the next mapping is booked cheers for readin.

what! rare one i was told it cant do it because its a mechanical limiter in the gear box... strange... well anyways i referred to a resolved issue topic in the gearbox section checked the pics and fitted it since my last post just back from test drive it went to 145mph then i had to let off.... im happy again. its readin mph again and the limiter is gone.

Heres some pics of Grants car he brought it round today to give it wash for the first time in 10 months.

i have 2 other cars m8 i only really want it 4 straight line races some bigger brakes sure would help but my focus is on going faster... and more grip if this was my everyday runner id surely be in need of bigger brakes but for all the agro jus for stopping on 1/4 mile i dont see the point.

and as for the cable ties lmao yer m8 quick fix havent had a chance to get brackets welded up as of yet for the civic rad ill be on that soon but its not top of my list as its holding for now
