4age 20v into kp70 starlet whats needed and costs

HI its been a while since I posted here but here goes anyway.

Ive just picked up a tidy little ep70 1.0L starlet and was looking into an engine conversion for it as they are very light and an engine transplant would make a big difference. Im leaning towards a 4age 20v but I dont know a whole lot about them and am not very mechanically minded myself so was wondering what woukd be needed to fit it in to my little boxy starlet and the costs involved.

I was thinking of buying a levin with a 20v blacktop in it pick a rough example up for about 1200euro now and using it as a donor car.

Ill need engine,gearbox,ecu and loom anyway

It's always easier with a donor car. If your not mechanically minded it would be a challenge to say the least!
 
Well I will be getting someone to fo the conversion a sevice is as far as my mechanical skills go im afraid:)
Ive heard the 4age is an akward conversion into a ep and that the 4efte is easier

id go for 4efte mate tuning 20v is costly and fully blown the 4efte will out performe the blacktop

It is not a big deal to fit it bud.

Fuel tank mod with high pressure fuel pump.
Driver side engine mounting mod.
Water pipes mod.
Gearbox drill and tap mod.
Stand alone management.
Exhaust.
120kw :)

However why not fit the most awesome engine ever made? 4EFTE :)
And a stock 4EFTE should take out a blacktop or there is something wrong with the 4E :D :p

4E would be a pretty straight swap. Not much needed to be done. And as said a well build and tuned 4E would take out a 20v easily.

It could be superior mate but there must be a reason why many choose the 4e/5e. And if im not mistaking the 4e has a better overall proven performance history against the 4ag. Again no doubt in the 4ag engine but the 4e/5e has proven itself and made its statement that it could take out some big boys.

Its because people do not like to do "strange conversions" like when its needed to make custom mountings and change drive shafts.
I can easily fit a 3SGTE into my AE82 but I am a 4E fan.
If you beat a M3 with a 4AGT then the guy in the M3 will have excuses and slightly understand why he got a hiding.
But what do you think he will say when a 1.3 took him out?? :p :haha:

If you 4age an ep70, you'd have to cut the chassis legs making it illegal in Ireland, 4efte would be a better plan. As much as I do love a 20v 4age, I have seen starlets on 4e / 5e that can and have out run 20v bt levins/truenos and st corollas. Are you on TOC-irl ? There's an animal of a boxy on there running a 4efte that now has a c56 box
