4efte flywheel into 4efe

My clutch is on it's way out on my 4efe. I wanted to do a clutch upgrade, but no where seems to offer such thing, appart from the glanza v.

I know there is a size difference between the clutches, the 4efte is slightly bigger.
In order to rectify this, I'm guessing I need the 4efte flywheel, but does this actually fit on the 4efe? If so, does it cause any issues when putting the gearbox back on? Running it?

You can swap a 4efte flywheel onto a 4efe no hassle. The gearbox will be the same size on both so no worries there.

If you are going ahead with it replace the crankshaft oil seal whilst the flywheel is off and remember to use threadlock on the flywheel bolts.

That's great Jay, many thanks. I can crack on with my order now :)

"remember to use threadlock on the flywheel bolts" - is that why they're a mo fo to get off in the first place lol.

Yeah, used for two reasons.

As you can imagine a loose flywheel is horrific fun but it also stops engine oil making its way down the threads from the crankshaft :)

I had an exeddy racing clutch in my Glanza Rep
A quick Google shows a good few options for the 4efe :)
That's exactly what I have in the basket on ID workz, along with an OE spec flywheel. Don't see the point buying a "light weight" when the car weighs next to nothing anyway

The difference in flywheel weight will not make any difference to the overall weight of the car.

Its all about the mass of the rotating assembly.

The OEM flywheels are very heavy, a good machine shop can take about half the weight off the OEM flywheel. It allows the engine to rev a lot quicker.
