5.1 positioning

Ive just had to upgrade the sound card as the onboard couldnt power the 5.1 due to vista compatibilty.
At the same time ive upgraded the speakers to logitech 5.1. What i wanted to know, is where to position the sub for the best sound. On the floor or on the lower shelf by the pc tower.

Generally it doesn't really matter too much...put it wherever it isnt going to vibrate against something and create unwanted noise. After all, all they do is go boom bang.
