5efe bore to 1600

has anyone heard about or done a 5efe rebore to a 1600? and if so how does it work? is it reliable?

Don't think the cylinder sidewall is thick enough to allow u to bore that much away.

if you get a 5e and chuck 75mm pistons in it it can be far off really

about 1560cc arnt they with 75s in ?

well using some maths (22/7*r^2*H)*4
i would say 75mm pistons would yield 1538cc...while the 74mm pistons yield 1497cc

i dont think u can get close to 1600 cc without going about 76.5mm pistons....OR getting some kind of stroker kit

i think a place in the US does a stroker kit....but i'm not certain

Its no good to stroke it, you will end up with a worse rod to stroke ratio. Its already bad stock at 1.50:1
