5Efhe air intake manifold

i have a 5efhe intake manifold to put on a stock turbo starlet engine.. is this a good modification? what are the advantages and disadvantages of puttin it on?

i used that manifold on stock 4efte and to me there is an increase in lag and up top the car doesn't feel as strong as with stock manifold. I believe that because the plenum is much bigger, the stock turbo cant feed it adequately, I have not yet got a chance to try it with bigger turbo to see how it feels.
