That should not be a problem at all!
Remember you will have some nice usable torque to move the car with the 5E :)

im already ready running 240hp on the 4efte TD04 so guessing not alot of gain on the 5efte then just probably quicker spool.. maybe i just wait and forge it over next winter

It will be a much better drive with the higher compression and higher torque, although it said, won't take much boost. Although if your running some form of programmable management you might be able to squeeze that little bit more.

its a very good daily driver....its a great compromise between spool, torque and power
id recommend using the 4efte oem pistons and 5efhe rods just to be safe if you doing a stock build
it will need tuning on at least a piggyback that can handle ignition to get the most out of it
the amount of boost you can run will depend on your tune, gas quality, boost , etc

I have a 5ehfe and I can say it feels way better than the 4efte as a daily driver.

I've been using the 5E for approx 6months+ now and I've not gotten any problems. My tuner adjusted everything that was needed and my car works great no issues. I currently have forged parts, due to thinking the 5e wouldn't handle the boost well for long but i was wrong as its still fully function and my engine compression is still up to the same as it was before.

However I'm only running 8psi on a TD04 with water meth. However I can increase boost but at the moment i don't want to push my luck to far lol.

I have had a stock 5E-FHE in my car for a couple of years with a TD04 running 15psi, no issues other than the head gasket going.

You shouldn't have any issues if you treat it nicely and get a decent tune.

I guess any set of forged pistons would be better than the stock 5ehfe pistons. But the hfe can apparently take boost very well as long as your tuner knows what he's doing.
