As for the question about if the car is strong enough to handle the v8 power, Ford has done
testing on the focus chassis and it can handle 700 HP before it would twist. This car has
approx. 330 HP and launches straight and hard.

I would love to see the video off ford testing that!!

and the v8 engine looks as though it came from the factory that way.

If only it did!!

Im impressed. That is great, would love a drive in that.... All that torque in a RWD hatch with a short wheel base. That thing must be skipping out all day.

I was impressed right up untill someone mentioned 330bhp. From a 5.0 V8. We are on a forum here where several members have more than that from their 1.3's, and they have about half a ton less metal to lug around...

I will agree that 330BHP from a 5.0litre V8 isnt amazing but it also does have torque to match...

And i dont mean this naff torque from a 1.3 where you peak for about 1000RPM I mean you get heaps of torque and BHP throughout the whole rev range from the minute you put the throttle down.....

the power graphs from the high powered 1.3's i.e over 300BHP arent exactly ideal..... They are very sloppy to start with and then start to make decent power from 5000RPM above.....

I know that focus would be one powerful beast to drive....
