im looking to run 1.5 bar of boost with this set up so i think a 1.6 mm head gasket will do the job

if you use a 1.6mm HG your comp is guna about 7.4-1 what is abit low for what you want it for id use a 1.2mm

Wondering why you would bother building the engine with such low compression, if you are getting forged units and you have a aftermarket ecu from an emange up in quaility something like 9.0:1, 9.5:1 even will better assist you gaining your 300hp and not to mention better drivability and more torque, the compression will also allow you a wider range in turbo choices all you need is a good tune which you would have to do anyway. Allot of newer cars run higher compression ratios like the vag cars golf, tts boras also to the newer evos, the newish turbo colt.
I mean 8.0:1 is not horrible but I will believe it would lack a certain crispness in comparsion to a slightly higher compression engine. Why not a 0.5mm gasket or 0.8 ?? When I build my 5e bottom I want 9.0:1
