Our AEM wideband keeps playing up just wondered if anyone else has had problems with theirs?

it works fine then seems to stop working (no figures just the three red lines) when the car has been driven hard later on will come back on again, im guessing its gettin too hot?? any idea's?

phoned RC who we bought it off the gauge itself is under warranty not the actual lamba sensor so that rules getting a new one for free. just dont wanna be buying a new sensor only to have same probs? or do ya reckon could be a dodgy sensor?

Actually O^2 sensors need to maintain certain temperature to work, espcially if they are not electrically heated. Maybe your sensor is too far away to get hot enough to work, or your 12V wire for your 0^2 heater is broken.

Have you checked all the connections kelly? mainly the ones from the sensor to the unit? if there all ok its probably the sensor and its recommended to be mounted at the bottom of the Decat its abit close to the manifold there, from what ive read you get best readings the further down the exhaust.

ive been told its in the best place there.

also if it was something like lose connections surely when go outside now it wouldnt work!? if went out in the car now it would work fine until the car gets driven hard then it would stop working, and come back on randomly later on when im guessing its cooled down?

Yeah well mines going at the bottom of the downpipe where the company recommended me to put it, its a bosch sensor with the AEM right? there rated for 900deg o think or 950deg, if you have a port further away from turbo just try it, but when you boot it it could just pull on the connections more, anythings possible.
