Really helpful Jay I just wish I read this first. I can add I had no issue getting the gearbox oil out with the car after a hot run ( Oil was just below skin burning temp. so face or hands still had to be clear of the plug hole ).
Looking at the plug hole I noticed it was lower on the passenger side so I just followed that idea and tilted the car so the engine on the passengers side was slightly lower for about an hour. The result was about 4 litres of oil came out of the plug hole very easily and it took about 4.06 litres to fill which didn't include filter.
