Yep, great wee cars, I had one for a few years a long time ago. Great sound off them, and great fun.

Most are destroyed with rust now, as they were back then.

aye rot on them was ridiculas but on the surface this one appears clean - i guess if you strip/clean/seal properly rust will stay away to a degree, most people never knew what undersealing was back then!

is it possible that rust affects you UK folks a lot more than it does us over here in the tropics..? :/

the winter itself isnt so bad, but the salt is the main culprit.

i think the permanent damp atmosphere here doesnt help much. even when its hot, its often muggy due to the dampness in the air.

Haha -) You haven't seen the cars in Russia after 9 months of snow a year -) Big rust issue, uk isn't that bad as it's very windy. Japanese cars are pretty good for rust though, mine is 13 year old and has no rust what so ever!

I have seen some 20 year old cars in Spain with no rust at all - so yeah, the climate (read Water + Salt) does play a major role here.
