ABS ring

I'm fitting new outer cv joints to my car and as I've removed my abs I want to take the ring off from the joint.so how does it come off?I've tried knocking it off with a hammer and screw driver but got no where.any help would be great thanks

thats all i did on mine put a screwdriver on itandhit it witha hammer till one side come up a little then got a pair of pliars and pulled it off! maybe youve got the screwdriver at the wrong angle
