i was gonna say, i'm sure the starlet would be quicker than an ibiza stock v stock.

The Mk1 leon come with 210 and 225hp and the ibiza (in above add) is the Mk3 which come with 150 cupra and 180 cupra R

182 cup clios are nice, a friend has one, pretty quick and handle really well, only down point is the build quailty really (typical french hatch) , but still comfy enough!
that sounds familiar, i had a saxo vtr before the glanza and that was a similar story, went well enough and handled fantastic but shite french build quality.

I realy like the front end of leon cupra R, looks evil. Even the ibiza with HID and the lower splitter.

There a little better than a saxo, but still not jap or german quailty thats fo sho!
I wouldnt say no to a 182 cup though!
but should i sell my type r for a clio 182 cup ???

2.3 turbo, 260bhp stock and 0-60 in 6.1 sec ! what a beast. underestimated, understated and relativly rare. i wish they did it in 3 door though.

Between the clio and ctr, clio handles better full stop, drove both and the clio would run rings around the ctr! But the ctr is quicker in a straight line, but also has better build quality but is heavier!

I dont belive that a starlet should have that but after 90mph the ibiza should pull away due bigger size engine and more torque.
My leon cupra (220bhp) just gapped my cuz starled modded exhaust, filters peaking at 0.9 bar
1st gear starlet will eat it, 2nd gear the leon will get traction, 3rd gear the leon will pull away, 4gear around 2 car gap from the starlet. Thats my experince

true good and bad points with all cars i suppose. i am seriously considering a mazda mps though, my mate has one and it is a beast but an unknown beast as in people are shocked when they see it go !

i drove his car and my car, and there is nothing wrong with the driving, its pretty simple that the ibiza is quicker! starlets are great cars but the way some people speak on here you would think they are so so fast!!
anyway back on topic, the clios can be excellent cars but they are french and not very reliable, i wouldnt swap the type r for one!
and those mazdas are lovely, so understated!!
